Indicator lights on monitoring sticks
Autarco's monitoring sticks are equipped with indicator lights that offer valuable insights for troubleshooting. These lights can help in maintaining a stable connection between your solar system and the monitoring platform.
Red (PWR)
Off | The stick is not receiving power from the device it's plugged into (either inverter or PELD). |
Flashing | The stick is powered insufficiently. |
On | The stick is powered on. |
Troubleshooting
- Check that the stick is correctly installed and that the inverter/PELD’s COM port is working properly. The grooves on the stick and the COM port should be aligned. Never rotate the stick itself, only the black ring around the connector, while it is in the inverter/PELD.
- Use a voltage meter to measure the voltage at the inverter/PELD’s COM port to ensure it is functioning correctly. DC voltages between pins 1 and 2 should be around 5V, and between pins 3 and 4 should be around 1.7V. If the voltage is lower, the COM port may be faulty.
Orange (COM)
Off | The stick is unable to receive data from at least one of the connected inverters. |
Flashing | The stick is processing data from an inverter, which is normal behavior. The light should return to a solid "on" state after a few seconds. |
On | The stick is ready to receive data from all connected inverters. |
Troubleshooting
- Check the Modbus addresses of the connected inverters.
- Try resetting the stick to factory settings.
Green (NET)
Off | The stick is not connected to the Autarco cloud. |
Flashing | The stick is trying to connect to the Autarco cloud. |
On | The stick is connected to the Autarco cloud and can send telemetry data to it. |
Troubleshooting
- If you're using a WIFI-STICK, check if the local network meets the requirements.
