Force charge/discharge battery for testing

This guide explains how to force a battery to charge or discharge for testing purposes using the SmartgridOne Controller.

Accessing the device settings:

1. Log in to the SmartgridOne Controller.
2. Navigate to the Devices section.

Testing or manually overriding a device

1. Locate the device you want to test in the list.
2. Click on Test / Manual Override to access control options.

Using the test page

On the Test / Manual Override page, you will find two input fields:

1. Power: Set the charging or discharging power (in watts).
2. Duration: Define how long the test should run (in minutes).

Click the Start button to begin the test.

Testing behavior

After clicking Start, the test will begin.

• It may take a few seconds before any visible changes occur.
• The actual power may not exactly match the set value, but it should be close.
• If the measured power is significantly different from the setpoint, this may indicate that the device is not responding correctly.

Ending the test

After completing the test, make sure to click the Stop Test / Manual Override button.

This ensures the device returns to normal operation and prevents multiple tests from running simultaneously.
