How to enable TCP/IP for EMS on Autarco inverters
What is TCP/IP?
TCP/IP or Modbus TCP/IP is the communication way where the local (internet) network is used for communication between devices. The Modbus communication is translated and send via TCP/IP.
Most EMS controllers want to connect via TCP/IP as it is using the existing communication that is already setup.
How to enable TCP/IP for EMS
To enable TCP/IP you need the following:
- Communication: S2.LAN.STICK.D
- Communication stick firmware: higher or equal to 100101B0
When the firmware is correct TCP/IP is enabled.
How to update the firmware version
Updating the firmware version of the communication stick is currently only possible by Autarco. If it is an existing system you can request this upfront. Or request the firmware upgrade while installing when the inverter + communication stick is online.
Note: When using TCP/IP it is advised to configure the EMS controller to not request data faster than once per second. Else it might interfere with sending data to MyAutarco.
