Pin layout for RS485 Inverter-EMS connection

You can steer an inverter using an Autarco or third-party EMS system in two main ways:

  1. TCP/IP connection – steering commands are sent via a communication stick (S2.LAN-STICK-D or S2.WIFI-STICK-D2).

  2. RS485 connection – using a UTP cable to connect the EMS directly to the inverter. In most cases, not all wires of the UTP cable are needed.

Below is a full list of Autarco inverters that support a wired RS485 connection between the EMS and the inverter. This can run in parallel with Autarco monitoring (MyAutarco data via a communication stick).

  • A dedicated RS485 port on the inverter must be used for this connection type.

  • For inverters without a dedicated RS485 port, see the alternative connection method here.
